Green Goddess Dip + Dressing (vegan, dairy-free, egg-free, Keto, Paleo)
A super easy dip to make that pairs excellently with flax crackers or cut vegetables. This Green Goddess Dip is made with cashews and is dairy-free, egg-free, and sugar-free, making it perfect for a Paleo or Ketogenic diet. You can make this Green Goddess Dip in a matter of minutes, super-easy. So, no need for those store-bought, commercial dips that are loaded with preservatives and processed vegetable oils.
This recipe easily does double-duty, becoming a Green Goddess Dressing for your salads by simply doubling the olive oil, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar.
It is essential for this recipe that the cashews are soaked. Don’t skip this step. The soaking process prepares the cashews for seamless blending, allowing them to become perfectly creamy. Soaking also helps to neutralize some of the antinutrients in cashews. Antinutrients can make nuts difficult to digest and cause them to be inflammatory. I soak my cashews for up to 6 hours to fully neutralize their phytates and break down the lectins.
I know how challenging it can be to consistently have a healthy snack ready for your children, or yourself for that matter. Add this Green Goddess Dip to your choices and you will be relieved. My children love this dip as an afternoon snack with their grain-free crackers, carrots sticks, and broccoli pieces.

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup filtered water
- 1/4 cup parsley (chopped)
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chives (chopped)
Instructions
- Presoak the cashews for 1-6 hours. Drain and pat dry.
- Put all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender. Blend for 1-2 minutes.
Notes
Alternatively, you can use cashew butter to make this recipe if you don’t have a high-powered blender or you are short on time. Replace the 1 cup of cashews with ½ cup of cashew butter.
This recipe as written turns out pretty thick, perfect for using as a dip. To thin it so it easily pours as a dressing, double the amount of olive oil, and add an additional tablespoon of both the lemon juice and the apple cider vinegar.
